URGENT APPEAL >> APRIL 2026
Back a landmark case
with a real chance to protect rural futures across Britain.
We believe that when private companies rely on statutory powers, those powers must be used fairly, lawfully, proportionately, and with respect for the people affected.
The High Court has granted permission for a Judicial Review to proceed due to the severity of the claims against GreenGen Cymru and the evidence of hundreds of testimonies from people directly impacted over the last 5 years. For those facing any large-scale development across Britain, this is familiar story;
-
rapid and disporportionate use of legal pressure,
-
lack of clear information or notice,
-
blurring lines of property & land rights,
-
use of personal data without consent, and
-
intimatadory tactics on the ground.
We want to call out unreasonable and in-appropriate conduct under state-backed licence and stop statutory powers being used to ride roughshod over rural communities.
Judicial Review is a very serious legal action and there has been a difficult and lengthy process to this point but we are standing up for each other in the face of relentless pressure from GreenGen Cymru.
The case is not a speculative complaint, it is a live legal challenge with judicial traction, led by New South Law, involving more than 500 farmers and landowners, and aimed at a question that will have national significance in case law.
This is a community funded legal case and we need your support now more than ever as we approach our court dates.
"They did not expect our rural communities to rise, organise, and force these serious questions into the High Court. People were meant to feel isolated, pressured, and too small to resist. Instead, we stood together. I am hugely proud to be part of a community refusing to be bullied, and helping to set a clearer standard for what is fair, lawful and acceptable behaviour in developments of this scale."
