Declaration of Common Ground

For a Living Landscape and a Fair Future

 

Across Wales, decisions are being made that shape how we live, farm, and care for the land. Too often, these choices are made without the people who know these places best, those who live and work among them.

This is our effort to create a Declaration of Common Ground an open statement of fairness, respect, and shared responsibility. It is for anyone who believes that our future depends on keeping the land, its people, and its ecology alive and connected.

 

We stand for a living landscape:

where food, nature, and community belong together;

where change happens with consent, not force;

and where progress strengthens the fabric of rural life rather than unravelling it.

 

We believe every decision must be guided by care for place, honesty in process, and respect for those who bear the consequences.

This is what justice looks like on the ground.
